Under the skin of the spaces we inhabit is a tangle of wires, structures, layers, and, more often than not, mice. The way they inhabit the walls and floors of our homes reveals the illusion they represent. Mice have not only been present in our domestic spaces for centuries, but they have also been the object of human experimentation for scientific, technological and even social developments, while their figure has, in the meantime, nourished children’s imagination through literary characters, fables and films. This installation, through objects, transparencies and images, aims to disclose that underworld of our homes, where rodents hide and whose way of surviving reveals something of our way of life as well.
