CITY OF GOD
CITY OF GOD views the machine as a structure of epistemological and religious power. Drawing from the aesthetics of sacral objects, Catholic iconography, and the hidden architectures of server rooms and vaults, it reflects on systems of control, extraction, and worship. Inspired by Saint Augustine’s City of God, which contrasts the divine and earthly worlds, the piece explores the collapse of such systems as both loss and potential, where acts of subversion can generate new forms of agency.
