Since 2013, the studios Zeitguised and Uglystupidhonest have been collaborating in their common quest of trying to avoid adding things to our reality that resemble much of what we already know. We ask ourselves, what do we want to make, now that everything is possible?

Are these seductions just surface effects in our visual cortex? Or to be mistaken for the real thing? Are they a mere precursor of what is to come or are they already the real thing? How can we move beyond representation in a medium that pretends to be a window to cartesian space on a flat rectangle? How will I affect the future of the universe if I press this button?

The two part, totally risk-free workshop is aimed at absolute beginners in exquisite 3d cg material fetishism, and will serve both as a entry point into the field of designable matter and at the same time as an open-minded and productive exploration of what is possible with the Visual Wunschmaschine in the curious minds and hands of the participants. All technical aspects will be taken care of beforehand so the participants can focus on designing and creating in a prolific way.
