Connecting Space – 2D / 3D digital modelling
The development of a 3D object / spatial installation / exhibition design through visualization, drawings and experimenting its making is challenging the know how, representation skills and the perception of materiality. The created space connects the designer and any visitors to a journey.
Design questions will arise through the practice of making of the object, spatial structure or installation, with respect to the impact of digital technologies, time based architecture and physical model. In the post digital age, how we design is as important as what we design. Never before have there been so many, or so varied, techniques and methods at our disposal, each with the capacity to leap only previously imagined frontiers.
The experience of making involves the understanding of the tools, the drawings representation, the 2D and 3D modelling, to enable the communication of the ideas through the process. It opens up to new ways of thinking involving intuition from a design concept to production and fabrication.
